W Retreat & Spa Maldives participates in the ‘Upgrade Yourself’ campaign which was launched this week by Starwood Hotels and Resorts Asia Pacific. This campaign allows travellers to upgrade themselves to the higher room categories and enjoy upgraded benefits at a minimum of 20% off standard Suite and Villa rates or 10% off standard Club room rates. Upgrade privileges include larger premium rooms and access to the Club and Executive Lounges, complimentary breakfast and evening cocktails.

A delegation from Maldivian airline together with Maldives Marketing & Public Relations Corporation (MMPRC) has just concluded a two city road-show in Chennai and Mumbai on 27th and 28th September with an impressive turn-out of more than 260 agents between two cities to explore business opportunities with Maldivian travel companies.The delegation was led by Deputy Minister of Tourism, Arts & Culture, Hon. Mohamed Meleeh Jamal.

Having successfully contributed to create a database now counting more than 170 species of identified whale sharks, the established Marine Biology Centre of LUX* Maldives welcomes the new resident marine biologist Ms. Charlie Hawley to lead the on-going researches and activities conducted within SAMPA (South Ari Marine Protected Area).
